Hangar 9 Pizzazz
Bought for $100 at an auction flies ok but have had hardware issues that aren't completely sorted out yet.
Wild Hare Edge 540T
My first big gasser, this plane was easy to assemble, easy to fly and Tom at www.wildharerc.com was extremely helpful. Powered by a DA-50R on Amsoil 80:1 with Hitec servos 5955TG rudder, 5645 Carbonite geared on everything else.
AT-6 Texan
This model was built by a club member around 1960 from a japanese kit (no english instructions), the craftsmanship is amazing so much so that I'm afraid to put a radio in it for fear of crashing it.
The model is sheeted on all surfaces and painted with K&B epoxy paint yet weighs nearly nothing if I ever did decide to fly it I think a 40 would be alot of engine for it.
P-39 Airacobra
This plane was built in the '90's by a club member from a kit of unknown brand.
The plane is built tough with hardwood dowel leading edges and oak spars.
With an old worn out .46 engine on the nose it flies way beyond scale including flat spins (upright and inverted), knife edge and even blenders. Not the most scale flight performance but fun.
This plane is my 'go to' plane on windy days as it can fly through anything.
When I got it it was all OD Green I've since had a few mishaps and covered those areas with dove grey to give the odd camo pattern. The invasion stripes are purely for visibility purposes in the sky.
PICA Focke Wolfe 109-D
Purchased at an auction for $150 plane + ST90 engine
First flight went great except the landing broke the previously weakened motor mount, has since been repaired
Great Planes .40 Ultimate Biplane (Kit)
Thunder Tiger Pro .61 (a bit overpowered)
The plane definitely flies different from all the monowing planes I've flown, it's taking some getting used to.
This plane does some amazing inverted flat spins right on the CG but if you go deadstick during one you best hope you have alot of altitude to coax it out.

Raptor .50 w/ Mavrick upgrades
This is my second heli a Raptor 50v2 with Mavrick upgrades from Heli Proz
This machine flies great and since building it I've hardly flown the Raptor 30

Thunder Tiger Raptor .30
Thunder Tiger .39 Heli
This beast has been upgraded halfway to a .50 bird, TT50Pro engine, 50 gear and clutch but haven't stretched the tail or blades yet.
Mostly used as a backup and for the club's annual airshow candy drop.
Since starting learning I've probably dumped another $600+ into this thing, but what a ride.
The Canopy is ugly but when I painted it I was going for visibility over all else.
The bottom 4 pics are of a canopy I took some time painting, unfortunately within a week the heli crashed taking the canopy with it.

Some pictures of both the Funtana and Edge 540T for comparison

Pacific Aeromodel Edge 540T
Plane is still flying with a Saito .82 on the nose
The hype about this plane is right on. It's a VERY light plane and a very stable flyer.
I'm still monkeying with the CG to get it more 3D but I'm sure it's just as capable as the Funtana but without the evil snap
This is my best flying plane, it goes where you point it until you change your mind. I'm sure with a better engine (and pilot) it would be a 3D machine. As it is now it does the most amazing Lomcevaks, Blenders, Tip Spins, and other tumbles and some of the most violent snaps I've ever seen.

Hanger 9 Funtana .40 (Retired)
This is a great plane and amazingly light for it's size.
I started it with a TT Pro .46 but then upgraded to a Saito .82a The Saito is definitely the right engine.
The plane does blenders, Lomcevaks, waterfalls, etc beautifully. The only annoying thing is on 3d rates it rolls out to the right on full up elevator.
Still haven't figured out a fix for the roll out but I've become accustomed enough to it that I barely notice it.
Also a touch of left rudder mixed in with full up elevator helped tone it down.

Sig Fazer w/ OS .40FX Engine
I altered the plans for this plane slightly hoping to get some 3D capability out of it.
1" longer elevator and rudder and 3/8" longer ailerons.
The plane also has 13 ultrabright LEDs installed.
3 white in the outermost wingbays, 2 blue on the left LE, 2 red on the right LE, 2 red flashers on the vertical stab, 1 white on the belly pointed down at the LG.
The plane is NOT 3D Capable however it's still a great flying plane as fun-fly planes go.
The lights really light this plane up at night, it's quite easy (for me) to orient it so I save it for night flying.
This poor plane was my high speed, low, inverted plane for awhile.
The first crash broke the wing at the spar and when repaired the wing ended up with just a touch of anhedral which seems to have no effect at all
Second crash ripped the tail off again no other damage.
She's still flying strong.

Deceased Planes and Planes I no longer own or use

Hanger 9 Twist 3D (RIP)
Crashed, knocked the whole back half of the fuse off and then flew a figure 9 back into the ground.
Gave the wing to a club member and tossed the rest
Thunder Tiger Pro .46
What a fun every day plane!
Within a week of getting it I'd broken off the tail doing Waterfalls a touch too close to the ground
Fixed it and still flying it today!

E-Flite Mini Funtana
Sold when I got out of electrics
Finally an Electric ARF that flies well with the equipment advertised!
Fun flying little plane, similar to it's bigger brothers.

Lanier R/C Predator 500 ARF, TTPro .40
Smeared it on the last race of 2006
I picked this up after my first race (and consequently first crash)
These are the 'standard' plane that the racers in my club fly for Q424, it went together fairly well though there are recommended modifications to the ARF posted on the web.
I put on Racing Wheels, Performance Engine mount, and replaced the pushrods that came with it. It flies great!
Now I just need to gain the skill to fly it competitively.

Aichi D3A1 "Val" by Skyshark R/C (RIP)
I built the version with flaps and intend to add 3 bomb drop mechanisms with balsa bombs.
5/5/04 First flight was about 30 seconds of sheer terror. Plane went straight up snapped and came straight back down. May have been a novice to warbirds pilot error.
5/6/04 Repaired the minor damage from flight #1 and took her back out, all controls good and balance good. Flight (if you want to call it that) lasted about 3 minutes. Plane flew like it was ungodly tail heavy. Club member Bill Young got it all on video which he promises to give me a copy of. I'll post a link to it here when I get it.
5/7/04 Talked to Mike @ skysharkrc. He hasn't a clue what could have gone wrong after long discussion and me sending him numerous pictures (found here). Getting a new cowl and laser cut parts pack to repair the plane and rebuild the wing.
5/8/04 Got the videos Fatal First Flight Video

SPQ500 (Attempt at a SPAD Quickie (424) plane
Newest version looks good but has been gathering dust for 2 years, will probably never fly
The plane flew pretty good and fast, not quite competitive most likely due to the fat fuse.
Had the whole motor mount just fall off twice on landings, when epoxying plywood to coro woodpeckering the coro is a necessity I guess.
The plane has been disected for radio/engine gear for another plane but I'm working on a new fuse for it so it may make a comeback.

SPA3DT aka The Guppy
I put a sort of fuse on it to cover the servos and make it look less like a flying piece of aluminum, but my fuse ended up really fat at the front and the slope on the 'canopy' ended up too sharp to look stealth-like as my original intention. I've been told it looks like a guppy.
On the test flight this plane jumped into the air and proceeded to hover almost hands off.
With a little trim it now flies more reasonably but still doesn't mind hovering in the least.
Overall I don't feel in the least bit bad about taking apart the QHOR for gear to get this plane in the air.
I think it will become my new favorite everyday fun-fly plane replacing the QHOR.
After breaking the motor mount and stripping a few servos due to dumb thumbs the plane has been retired.

Herr Engineering 1/2a AT-6 Texan Kit
Gave it to a club member after being totally unable to get it to take off, he put a .74 on it and flies it still.
First off this kit was a pleasure to build, all the parts literally fell out of the stock due to excellent laser cutting.
I originally had an AP Hornet (.061) engine on it and it barely had the power to lift off and stay in the air.
It now has a Norvell Big Mig .061, I haven't had good weather or a suitable runway to test it with but I suspect much better performance with this engine.
This plane was a great big disappointment. To make this plane fly with the lower end engines you would have to fill it with helium.
After the most recent attempt to fly using an electric motor failed in a crash I gave the plane to a friend who now flies it with a Norvell .074 the engine it needed all along.

SPAD Demon w/ .40 OS FX Engine (RIP)
Yet another replacement wing for the demon.
This wing came from a high wing plane I made, it has flap and airbrake capability on an RNAF wing.
Very nice flying wing once it was trimmed and can stay in the air with almost no airspeed when the flaps are down.
Estimated 6 foot takeoffs using flaps.
Replacement wing for the demon, I took a little more time on the decorations also.
Broke the this wing spar due to a fuel soaking and repeated snap-rolls (oops) ~ 7/4/03
Broke spar on the old wing due to the spar being fuel soaked. ~ 5/25/03

QHOR #2 (RIP)
First one flew good then I somehow beat it out of trim and broke it's back in a crash
On #3 now gave it a complete body (wing and tail feathers) transplant because the purple wing was getting very gummy.
Nitromethane turns Krylon clear varnish into gum apparently. New wing is decorated in sign vinyl and looks good!
Retired 2/20/04, took the gear for the new SPA3DT.
New Wing
Wing #2

Hangar 9 - Aresti ARF w/ Thundertiger .40 Pro
Flies great but it's not a Fazer, it's going to take some getting used to flying a pattern plane instead of a Fun Fly type
I never got used to this plane so I sold it to a club member for a small loss after maybe 10 flights. Great plane just not for me.

Demon Bi-Plane (Experimental, My own design) (RIP)
I figured if my Demon flew excellent with 1 wing why not try one with 2!
I was unable to make this plane fly, I think it was a weight issue but stopped pursuing it after I broke the upper wing.
